At StoryCorps, we believe listening is an act of love. Give the gift of listening by sharing stories and StoryCorps with others!
Make listening a part of your new year
- Give Listening Is an Act of Love as a gift. Remember, 100% of the royalties from book and CD sales will go toward our mission as an independent non-profit organization. Order from the StoryCorps website and we receive an additional portion of the sales.
- Host a Listening party. Use StoryCorps at your next gathering to bring people together to listen and share. Planning one is easy using our How-To Kit. Don’t forget to have a box of tissues on hand!
- Talk to family and friends. Take an hour, grab someone, and sit down in a quiet room to ask about his or her life. See our Great Questions list for ideas or get tips from our Do-It-Yourself guide.
- Email stories from our Listen page, and use the new share link to post stories on Facebook, Del.icio.us and others. Let everyone know about our podcast.
- Make a financial gift in honor of a friend or family member. Support StoryCorps with a donation so we can record more stories, and help more people have the StoryCorps experience.
- Reach out to family and friends using our Question of the Month email service. Every month we feature a new question, and you can send it to anyone you want using our online form. Give it a shot and listen to what comes back.

Spread the word - a new way to listen
Now we’re offering a new way to listen—on your cell phone! By calling 646-205-7610, you can listen to stories anytime and anywhere you want. But don’t keep the news to yourself. Download one of our new flyers and post it in your community. Take it to church, display it at a local coffee shop, or anywhere else where people gather, and share the StoryCorps experience.
